Isaiah Chapter 1

Every time there is snow I am reminded of Isaiah Ch 1 v 18, especially recollecting the time when I walked through a park after very heavy snow. It was outstandingly beautiful; pure, unspoilt, transforming and glistening in the winter sun.

It is so good this verse starts with ‘come’, for snow is a reminder of this invitation from God to make clean what is wrong in my life. Is anything more white than untouched snow? It transforms. As I look as snow I recall the words found in 1 John 1 v 9. The visual aid of snow beautifully illustrates this.

I wish we had a bit more snow in this area!

We have started! I hope and pray people engage with this and meet with the living God through it.
Today I was truck again by the words of caution about worship (v11-17).
They point to the fact that true worship is matched by a heart response and action for those in need - This seemed to me to be a good match for our launch of CAP yesterday.

Special thanks to Paul for getting up at 5:30 in the morning to post this blog entry just before my Quiet Time!

Thanks Hope.I love the snow and can also relate to v18. We are so privileged to have a God who loves us so much.

I read this when it was first posted and often reflect on it's meaning. Thought you would be blessed how our Lords uses what we have read.... even if it is weeks and weeks ago.

Thank you for the thought of pure snow!
